WAVE uses modern, clean, fully licensed and insured vehicles selected for airport transfers, long-distance taxi journeys, North Wales town-to-town travel and premium private tours.
Our fleet mainly includes large estate cars such as the Peugeot 508 SW GT Line, Skoda Superb Estate and other similar vehicles.
These cars look modern and professional and give passengers the feeling of travelling in a comfortable, up-to-date vehicle.
The Peugeot 508 SW GT Line is a higher-specification version of Peugeot’s largest passenger car, while the Skoda Superb Estate is Skoda’s largest passenger estate and offers the space and comfort often associated with entry-level executive vehicles.
Why Our Vehicles Are Suitable for Longer Journeys
Airport transfers and long-distance journeys place greater demands on a vehicle than short journeys around town.
Passengers may spend several hours travelling at motorway speeds, carrying luggage and passing through changing road and weather conditions.
Large estate cars provide the space, comfort, stability and luggage capacity required for this type of travel.
They are better suited to longer journeys than many smaller, basic vehicles designed mainly for short local work.
Fully Licensed and Insured
Every vehicle used by WAVE is fully licensed and insured for professional passenger transport.
Our vehicles must meet the inspection, testing and roadworthiness requirements applying to licensed taxi and private hire vehicles.
WAVE is also a licensed Private Hire Operator, so customers travel in vehicles covered by the correct insurance for carrying paying passengers.
Passenger Comfort and Space
Our vehicles are normally higher-specification models with comfortable seating, good rear passenger space, effective heating and air conditioning, quality interiors and a smooth motorway ride.
Depending on the vehicle, passengers may also benefit from heated seats, privacy glass, ambient lighting, USB charging and other comfort features.
Our cars are licensed to carry up to four passengers. However, on longer journeys, airport transfers and premium private tours, three passengers will usually travel more comfortably.
Large estate cars also provide practical boot space, allowing a normal amount of luggage to remain safely separated from the passenger area.
Passenger Safety
Modern large estate cars provide a high standard of passenger protection.
They normally include three-point seat belts, multiple airbags, head restraints, strong passenger compartments and other modern safety features.
Their larger size and stable road behaviour also make them well suited to motorway journeys.
CCTV may be used for passenger and driver security.
Regular Servicing and Quality Tyres
WAVE vehicles complete demanding professional work, including regular motorway journeys covering several hundred miles.
For this reason, they are regularly serviced and may be serviced more often than required by the manufacturer.
Important maintenance is completed when required, with particular attention given to brakes, steering, suspension, lighting, wipers, fluids and general roadworthiness.
We also use good-quality branded all-season tyres suitable for changing UK weather conditions.
These tyres support grip, braking and stability during rain, colder temperatures and long motorway journeys.
Driver Comfort Supports Passenger Safety
A well-equipped vehicle supports the driver as well as the passengers.
Comfortable seating, climate control, automatic transmission, cruise control and modern driver-assistance systems can reduce physical strain and tiredness during long journeys.
Modern LED or xenon headlights also provide stronger and clearer road illumination during early-morning, late-night and rural journeys.
Better visibility helps the driver see road markings, bends, pedestrians, animals and changes in the road surface more easily, while also reducing visual strain.
A driver who is comfortable, properly supported and able to see clearly is better placed to remain focused and provide a smooth, controlled journey.

The passenger area is maintained as a comfortable and professional environment for longer journeys.
Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside our vehicles.
Why the Vehicle Matters
Many local taxi vehicles are selected mainly for short journeys around town, school transport and lower-speed local work.
Those vehicles may be suitable for their normal purpose, but airport transfers and long-distance journeys require more passenger space, luggage capacity, comfort, motorway stability and equipment suitable for several hours of travel.
Large booking apps may allocate whichever vehicle and driver accepts the journey. Customers may have limited information in advance about the vehicle’s size, specification, luggage space or suitability for a long-distance transfer.
With WAVE, customers book directly with a licensed operator specialising in airport transfers and long-distance transport. Our vehicles are selected specifically for this work and maintained for regular motorway travel.
Unlicensed transport offers may appear cheaper, but customers may not know whether the vehicle has passed professional compliance checks, whether the tyres and equipment are suitable for long-distance work or whether the correct passenger transport insurance is in place.
